Tips & FYIs Before You Go:
It’s windy: At least it was when we visited (early December). It wasn’t anything that would prohibit you from being able to do any activities, but we were definitely surprised by the wind!
Taxis: …are expensive. So know that. But I wouldn’t rent a car, since spending on where you’re staying, most things are close and walkable. (Aruba is a small island!)
Currency: The official currency is the Aruban Florin, but U.S. dollars are widely accepted. Keep in mind, most taxis do not accept credit cards, so have at least a little cash on hand.
Language: While Dutch is the official language, English and Spanish are also commonly spoken.
Sun Protection: The sun can be intense, so pack sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses to stay protected.
Reservations: Popular attractions and restaurants can get busy, so consider making reservations in advance.
