Arrived a week early: Oct. 4 at 4:45 am
7 lbs. 11 oz. and 20 inches long

Last Thursday night, I was just climbing into bed after a quick workout and shower when I felt a little “pop”. It didn’t register that it was my water breaking until I started to walk around the house and it became a bit more obvious that is exactly what happened.

Contractions started immediately. By the time we were in the car, they were 5 minutes apart, and by the time I was in the hospital lobby, they were down to 3. Within two hours, I asked the nurse to recheck me as the contractions were now back-to-back, with almost no reprieve. She confirmed my suspicions - I was 10 CM - and like an angel hitting his cue, the anesthesiologist walked in.

After 45 minutes of pushing, our impatient girl arrived fast and furious—but not without some drama. Dawson headed straight to the NICU due to some respiratory issues, where Eric and I camped out by her side for five days. She has rebounded beautifully and we are so happy and relieved to finally be home with our girl. 💕
