Summer is the season of going bold. Typically, boho is associated with a more neutral color palette but I am a big fan of mixing and matching styles: Bright summery with boho chic.
To create a bright boho look, start with a statement piece such as a flowy maxi dress or a loose-fitting jumpsuit in a bold, eye-catching print. Look for patterns that incorporate bright, saturated colors such as orange, fuchsia, and turquoise. Adding a wide-brimmed hat or a colorful scarf can also complete the boho look and provide some sun protection.
When it comes to your shoe game, sandals or espadrilles are perfect for a bright boho look. Opt for a pair in a neutral color, such as tan or beige, to keep the focus on the bright and bold clothing. If you prefer a more comfortable option, try a pair of woven sneakers or slip-on shoes for a playful and practical touch.
If you prefer a more subtle approach to the boho trend, start with a neutral base such as a pair of white shorts or a simple tank top, and add a bright patterned kimono or scarf. This way, you can incorporate the trend into your existing wardrobe without going too over-the-top.
For my look, I started with a big statement piece: a bright off-the-shoulder long-sleeve crop top. I paired my top with one of my closet staples: a distressed white cropped jean. And I added my personal favorite accessory: a floppy sun hat in tan.
