5 Reasons to Attend Bike MS: 2023 in Kansas City

Bike MS: Kansas City

Midwestern views? Check.

A fantastic workout? Check.

…all for an amazing cause? Big-time check!

I have an amazing event for you. It involves joining cyclists from across the country on a meaningful ride through the beautiful plains of the Sunflower State. Mark your calendars: Bike MS is coming to the Kansas City area Sept. 23-24, 2023. Here are five reasons why you should consider being a part of this incredible experience:

  1. Pedal for a Purpose

This isn’t just a cycling event; it’s a powerful platform to support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society‘s relentless fight against multiple sclerosis (MS). As you pedal through the Sunflower State, you’re funding crucial research, raising awareness, and offering tangible assistance to those affected by MS.

I learned that Bike MS, the largest charity cycling series in the U.S., has raised $1.4 billion–all to help drive forward the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s mission to both discover a cure for MS and empower those impacted to live life to its fullest. That is absolutely phenomenal.

  1. Fun for the Whole Family

Hey, why not bring the entire family along for a weekend of fun and adventure?! Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or a rookie rider, there’s a route suited just for you. Choose from the leisurely 25-mile ride, the adventurous 50-mile route, or take on the ultimate challenge with the century (100-mile) ride. Kiddos will have a blast in the “Kids’ Zone,” with mini-rides and more. And don’t miss the mouthwatering pancake flip by Chris Cakes on Sunday morning, followed by a Kansas City BBQ celebration at Garmin Headquarters.

  1. Experience the Beauty of the Kansas City area

I can’t think of a better way to usher in the fall season than by a good ol’ bike ride through the Heart of America. Riders will kick off their journey from the iconic Garmin Headquarters in Olathe, KS, embarking on a scenic route that leads them to the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Lawrence, KS.

  1. Goin’ Retro with 80s Vibes

Bike MS: 2023 marks a special milestone – the 40th Annual Kansas City ride – and the organization is celebrating with a rad 80s theme. 📼🛼📺 Relive the nostalgia as you journey back to the era of big hair and neon fashion, pausing at themed rest stops featuring food trucks and local craft beer. Plus, experience the convenience of new campsite setups for those who choose an overnight stay in Lawrence. Cowabunga 😉

  1. Empower Change and Create Impact

Most importantly, empower change and create impact: Every dollar Bike MS raises for the National MS Society brings us one step closer to finding a cure and improving the quality of life for those affected by MS.

Grab those helmets, kickstart that training regime and get ready for an unforgettable experience at Bike MS: 2023 in Kansas City. Pedal with purpose, embrace the joy of cycling, and be part of a community making a positive change in the world.
